About Us
The Cupcake Delivers was whipped up in 2011 by Jessica Baer, who traded a 20+ year career in the natural foods world (Whole Foods Market — ring a bell?) for a sugar-spun dream. Motherhood lit a new kind of fire in her — one that called for creating a life that embraced both her children and her calling. So she rolled up her sleeves, grabbed a whisk, tossed in a pinch of sparkle, a dash of grit, and baked her way forward.
Not just to build a business, but to build a message: that women and moms can rise, thrive, and lead — with grace, with strength, and maybe a little buttercream.
What began as a home-kitchen dream now bursts into a full-blown wonderland of confections. From cupcakes and cake pops to balloon bundles, marshmallow magic and s’mores so sweet they make fairytales jealous — every treat carries a piece of our story.
And now, with nationwide shipping, (while not everything can fly across the country, some goodies are just too magical to leave the nest), a handful of our signature sweets are ready to travel. So wherever you are, a sprinkle of joy is always just a box away.

We deliver our cupcakes, balloons and treats in most of Northern Virginia and Washington DC: Aldie, Annandale, Arlington, Alexandria, Ashburn, Burke, Chantilly, Clifton, Centreville, Fair Lakes, Fairfax, Fairfax Station, Falls Church, Great Falls, Herndon, Manassas (parts of), Mclean, Oakton, Reston, Springfield, Sterling, South Riding, Tysons, and Vienna. We deliver cupcakes to many schools and universities including George Mason University, and to many hospitals as well including Inova Fairfax and Inova Fair Oaks, Reston Hospital Center, Arlington Hospital, and Inova Alexandria!

FAQs
I get the error message “no shipping method available” at the checkout. How can I fix this?
This is caused by one of several things. *Make sure your order meets the $30 cart minimum for a delivery. *Make sure we deliver to the area you are trying to get a delivery to. *In the zip code field, only use the first 5 digits. The extended zip code is only for use by the post office. Only use the first 5 digits. *Make sure you are using the correct zip code.
Do you use nuts in your cupcakes?
Some of our cupcakes do have nuts. We are NOT a nut free kitchen. While we use good manufacturing processes to keep everything separate, cross contamination is always a possibility. If you have questions about the ingredients in particular cupcakes, please reach out. We always advise those who are concerned to err on the side of caution and not consume our cupcakes. We are always happy to speak with you about any allergy concerns you have.
Can you ship?
We are shipping cocoa bombs, stuffed animals and chocolate covered oreos!
Can you make a special flavor or design for me?
We’d love to. Contact our artist directly by email orders@thecupcakedelivers.com. Send a picture of what you would like please! Custom pricing is based on your individual order.
Can I pick up my cupcakes?
Yes, just select pickup at the checkout. Pickups must be reserved in advance. You must be on time for your pickup!
Can I buy cupcakes by the each?
Minimum order is $30/cart for a delivery.
Can you deliver cupcakes to my child who is away at college?
Yes! We deliver cupcakes to George Mason University. We also deliver to Northern Virginia Community College as well as American University. Please make sure we have a contact phone number for the recipient as well as their mailbox number if they have one. GMU deliveries require a Mailbox Number.
Can you deliver cupcakes to a school?
We do deliver cupcakes to area schools! We follow the school security policy in every school. Most all schools require us to deliver to the front office. It is your responsibility to know if your school does not allow deliveries. We deliver to the local schools around us free of charge. Please contact us for your free delivery coupon for schools: Greenbriar West Elementary, Greenbriar East Elementary, Rocky Run Middle School, Chantilly High School, Brookfield Elementary, Colin Powell Elementary, and Poplar Tree Elementary.
I need a cupcake delivery to Fairfax Hospital. Can you do that?
Sure! We deliver to Fairfax Hospital, Fair Oaks Hospital, Reston Hospital, Inova Alexandria Hospital, and Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington. Also we deliver to GW Hospital in Washington DC, Georgetown Hospital and Sibley Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Do you deliver to hotels?
Yes! Just make sure we have the person’s name. Hotels receive the delivery at the front desk and hold it for your recipient. We only deliver to the front desk.
When do you make your cupcakes?
We make all of our Cupcakes by hand, fresh everyday!
What to do if I have leftovers?
Save your cupcakes in the freezer! (In the rare event there are any left) Do not refrigerate them. They will dry out. You can keep them in the freezer for a week.
Can I send my delivery anonymously?
No, as much as we’d like to play cupid, we don’t do anonymous deliveries. Each delivery must have a sender name.
Can you write on a cake for me?
Yes! We can write in icing on a cake, cake plate or giant cupcake, provided the design and/or space allows for it. This is a complimentary offering and done at the discretion of the cake maker.
I’m having a party and need my cupcakes by a certain time. Can you do that?
Yes! We will aim for delivering ahead of time to make sure they arrive when needed. BUT, you must contact us ahead of time to make sure that day and time is available.
